What’s Included
Large Wet/Dry Gear Backpack
A lightweight nylon-and-mesh drawstring backpack measuring approximately 18.9″ × 12.6″.
Large mesh panels allow airflow around damp gear. The backpack itself is not waterproof; a separate water-resistant zippered pocket helps protect smaller belongings such as your phone, keys, and wallet. Always unpack damp gear and let everything dry fully after an outing.

Hand-Pocket Paw Towel
A soft, absorbent chenille microfiber towel with a hand pocket for drying paws and touching up damp areas on the legs, face, and coat after wet or muddy outings.
The hand pocket helps you hold the towel securely while blotting away excess water and touching up areas that need attention. Keep it packed for rainy walks, lake days, camping trips, and cleanup before getting back in the car.
Large MudBuster Paw Washer With Travel Lid
The original Large MudBuster paw washer uses soft, flexible silicone bristles to help loosen mud, sand, dirt, and trail debris from your dog’s paws before the mess reaches the car, RV, or home.
The included twist-on travel lid closes securely to help prevent spills during travel. Make sure it is properly tightened, and empty and clean the cup after use.
Paw washer fit
This kit includes the Large MudBuster, which provides extra room for paws, fluffy fur, and cleaning water. The listed paw-width range for this size is 2½ to 3½ inches. The 3½-inch measurement is the upper limit of that range, not the minimum. Paw shape and fur also matter when checking for a comfortable fit.
Dogs with narrower paws may also benefit from the larger size, especially those with thick fur around their feet. Gently angle the cup as needed so the soft bristles contact the paw, and never force a paw inside. If you’re unsure, contact us before ordering—we’re happy to help.
Four-Foot Round Nylon Dog Leash
A durable round nylon leash with sturdy hardware and a comfortable hand loop.
Keeping a dedicated leash with the kit means there is always an extra one ready for travel stops, campsite walks, quick outings, and those moments when the everyday leash was left somewhere else.
Leash-Mounted Waste-Bag Holder
A compact zippered holder made from durable Oxford cloth that attaches to the leash or backpack.
It keeps waste bags within reach during walks and outings.

One Roll of Earth Rated Waste Bags
The waste-bag holder comes stocked with Earth Rated waste bags, ready for the first outing.
Scent and bag style vary based on availability. Included bags may be scented or unscented, with or without handles. Scent and style are selected during packing and cannot be chosen separately.
Collapsible Travel Bowl
A compact food-or-water bowl that expands when needed and collapses to less than 0.5 inch thick for storage.
The attached clip makes it easy to secure to the backpack or other travel gear.

Using and caring for your kit
60-Second Trailhead Reset
- Towel Dry: Blot away excess water, mud, and sand.
- Clean Paws: Use the Large MudBuster to loosen dirt and trail debris.
- Dry + Touch Up: Dry paws and touch up damp areas on the legs, face, and coat as needed.
- Contain the Mess: Empty excess water and pack used gear for the ride back to home base.
Back at Home Base
Unpack → Clean → Dry Completely → Restock → Repack.
The routine helps make cleanup less scattered and easier to repeat after walks, lake days, camping trips, road trips, and other messy adventures.

Home After Paws began with a simple question:
What do we need before, during, and after an adventure with a big dog?
Living and traveling with Nacho meant dealing with wet fur, muddy paws, sandy feet, forgotten gear, and the constant shuffle of supplies between the house, car, and RV.
It also meant plenty of conversations with other dog people. Nacho has never met a stranger, and people regularly stop to meet him and ask about the gear we use.
Those experiences helped shape Home After Paws: bring practical, field-tested essentials together in a system that is already organized when you need it.
Every item in this kit has a job. Together, they make the transition from adventure to reset simpler, cleaner, and more organized.
